God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen est un prélude et une fugue*, inspiré par un Noël vu par l’enfant vivant avec un parent atteint d’une maladie mentale. Le Prélude est le début de quelque chose, d’une soirée, de l’espoir d’avoir un Noël normal, comme les autres. La fugue* à trois voix, composée en collaboration avec Alexandre David, représente plutôt la solitude, l’isolement, la folie, la perte de contrôle reliée à la phobie sociale et à la maladie mentale. Ce moment où plus rien ne va, où tout semble aller trop vite… Pour un enfant qui côtoie la maladie mentale, la fébrilité de fêter Noël dans la joie existe naïvement, toutefois, au fil des ans, s'ajoutent lucidité, appréhension et bien sûr déception.

God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen is a prelude and a fugue*, inspired by a Christmas seen by the child living with a mentally ill parent. The Prelude is the beginning of something, of an evening, of the hope of having a normal Christmas, like the others. The fugue* for three voices, composed in collaboration with Alexandre David, rather represents loneliness, isolation, madness, loss of control related to social phobia and mental illness. This moment when nothing is going right, when everything seems to be going too fast... For a child who is close to mental illness, the excitement of celebrating Christmas in joy exists naively, however, over the years, lucidity, apprehension and well-being are added. sure disappointment.
